I noticed that many luxury interiors used horns and antlers, but few people knew their true origin.The market was full of markups, inconsistencies, and, most concerning, questionable sourcing practices. That’s why I decided to create a company focused on ethical luxury decor sourced directly from South Africa.
That realization inspired me to create Karoo Select, a brand built on authenticity, ethical sourcing, and a deep respect for both craftsmanship and nature.

I was born and raised in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, a region surrounded by incredible wildlife, natural beauty, and skilled artisans. Many local taxidermists and craftsmen work sustainably, using only ethically obtained materials under strict wildlife regulations. Yet, their work rarely reached international markets in a fair or transparent way.
During my experience in the U.S. interior design industry, I also saw a growing demand for authentic, statement décor pieces that felt meaningful. Therefore, I knew these two worlds needed to connect.
